My Journey

My path to becoming a therapist has been shaped by diverse experiences. As an immigrant with a background in engineering and business, I've had a successful career in technology while coaching and mentoring many individuals. I've also navigated my own personal challenges through difficult life events. Along the way, I’ve been part of growth-focused communities that exposed me to a wide range of perspectives and tools. This journey, combined with my formal training in counseling psychology, allows me to draw on both personal and professional insights. It also gives me a deep appreciation for each individual’s unique journey and cultural differences, leading me to approach my clients with humility.

During my clinical training, I worked in a middle school and a community college, supporting individuals aged 12 to over 60 from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of concerns. Before that, I founded a coaching practice to help South Asian men navigate cultural conflicts, later expanding to serve a broader clientele. I’m especially passionate about working with men and have spent nearly a decade leading and participating in men’s peer support and personal growth groups.

My Approach

My therapy approach is integrative and personalized. I believe that each person is unique, so therapy should be holistic and tailored to their individual needs and current life situation. I draw on a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psychodynamic Therapy, Existential Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), among others. Working from a trauma-informed perspective, I use methods from IFS and Brainspotting to help clients gently process trauma. I especially value the non-judgmental, non-pathologizing nature of IFS, which honors the wisdom and resilience of each person—an approach I bring to all my work. I truly believe that every person has within themselves the wisdom that can help them find their way, grow into their true potential, and thrive.
